Our Regional Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards Winner.
Congratulations to Jasmine Louis, a 10th-grade RCS student, who was recently announced as a regional Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards winner! The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers has awarded Jasmine a gold key for her poem, “Journey”. Jasmine’s poem will advance to be judged nationally this summer.
Since 1923, the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers has been the nation’s longest-running, and most prestigious educational initiative supporting student achievement in the visual and literary arts. They also recognized some of America’s most celebrated artists and writers as teenagers, including Tschabalala Self, Stephen King, Kay WalkingStick, Amanda Gorman, Charles White, Joyce Carol Oates, and Andy Warhol.
