Early Childhood (Preschool) Admissions
Early Learners (EL): 3 & 4 Year old class. Program requirements:
- Your child must be 3 years old prior to September 30th
- Your child must be fully potty-trained and able to toilet themselves independently.
Junior Kindergarten (JK): 4 & 5 Year old class. Our JK program assists in preparing students for Kindergarten the following year. Program requirements:
- Your child must be 4 years old prior to September 30th
- Your child must be fully potty-trained and able to toilet themselves independently.
Steps to Apply:
- Schedule a tour with our admissions team.
- Schedule a shadow day for your child. A shadow day is a great opportunity for your child to see what it’s like to be a student at Roanoke Catholic. Shadow days can be scheduled by emailing our Admissions Office.
- Complete a school application online ($30).
- If your child has attended a daycare or preschool prior to Roanoke Catholic, please complete the Student Record Release Form. This form allows RCS to get your child’s records from their current school.
- Testing is scheduled as needed.

K-12 Admissions Process
Steps to Apply:

- Schedule a shadow day for your child. A shadow day is a great opportunity for your child to see what it’s like to be a student at Roanoke Catholic. Shadow days can be scheduled by emailing our admissions office at [email protected].
- Complete a school application online ($30 per student).
- Complete the Student Record Release Form. This form allows RCS to get your child’s records from their current school.
- Apply for financial aid, if needed ($40 per family). Please see the financial aid tab on our website and our tuition assistance brochure to see if you may qualify. Early Identification Deadline: February 15th / Round 1 Financial Aid deadline: March 1st.

Roanoke Catholic School admits students of any race, religion, and national and ethnic origin. The extent to which a student may prosper academically, as well as develop as a citizen of the school community, is the fundamental issue that is considered in the evaluation of an applicant for admission. The admission process seeks to determine the match between the applicant and the Roanoke Catholic School community.
Candidates for admission to Roanoke Catholic School and their families must be willing to commit to the philosophy of Roanoke Catholic School and to the Christian values it upholds, including cooperation, service, prayer, and worship. Candidates who are admitted to Roanoke Catholic School must continue their personal, religious, and academic growth in a manner that bears witness to the school’s philosophy.
Applications for all grades are subject to the review and recommendation of the Roanoke Catholic School Admissions Committee. Every student must possess the educational background necessary to reach his or her fullest potential in order to be admitted. Students with serious disciplinary issues or poor academic performance will not be offered admission.
