Catholic Schools Week begins on Sunday, January 26th and ends on Saturday, February 1st. This year’s theme for Catholic Schools Week is Faith, Excellence, and Service. We will have different daily themes as well. Students may dress up in attire that corresponds to the daily theme.
The daily themes are…
- Sunday – Parish – Take a photo of your student in their RCS uniform with their priest, deacon, or pastor for an out of uniform day on Monday, February 3rd. Send photos with “2025 CSW Parish Pic” in the subject line to mcundiff@roanokecatholic.
com. Pictures must be received by the end of school on Wednesday to be eligible for the out of uniform day. - Monday – Nation – Students can dress in Red, White, and Blue.
- Tuesday – Community – Guys in Ties, Girls in Pearls – Dress up for Mass.
- Wednesday – Faculty, Staff, and Volunteers – Students can dress as their favorite teacher or coach.
- Thursday – Vocation – Career Day – Students can dress as their favorite career (no pajamas or robes).
- Friday – Students – Celtic Pride Day. (11:45/12:05 Dismissal)
- Saturday – Family – Bowling – Lee Hi Lanes (12:30-2:30)
This year’s service projects for Catholic School’s Week are below. Students can bring in items to their classroom/homeroom Monday – Friday of CSW. Help Roanoke Catholic serve those less fortunate in our local community!
EL-2nd Grade will be collecting hot cocoa for a Hot Chocolate Bar at Salem VAMC in support of Salute to Veterans Week.
3rd-7th Grade will collect diapers (sizes 1-5) for Commonwealth Catholic Charities for local moms in need.
8th-10th Grade will collect non-perishable food items for the St. Francis Food Pantry. (Boxed breakfast items, canned vegetables, canned fruits, bakery items, mac and cheese, instant potatoes, boxed pasta and canned sauce)
11th & 12th Grade will collect Soups for Seniors in conjunction with the RCS Key Club. (Turn in soup cans to Ms. Plante’s room.)
